As a Professional Development Program Associate (General Business - Revenue) for the Airports Authority, you will gain real-world experience and industry knowledge while building knowledge and skills in your field as you work toward achieving your career goals.

Professional Development Program Associate (General Business - Revenue)

This is a three-year developmental program and is designed to lead to placement in a career full-time General Business Specialist position.

Associate (Years 1) is developmental during which you will receive experiential training and assignments to build your skills as a professional (such as self-management, business acumen, and leadership skills) and to start to develop your knowledge base in your designated discipline.

After 12 months of successful performance (end of Year 1) and upon completing the following:

*Professional Development training.
*Professional Development projects.
*Understanding the Airports Authority's Non-Airline revenue sources and contracts with focus on Commercial Parking & Terminal Concessions.
*Ability to generate existing revenue reports and metrics from business intelligence system.
*Contribute and deliver presentations and reports on the trends, analytics and performance of non-airline revenue.
*Interview personnel across revenue organization to understand objectives, roles, and responsibilities.
*Gain knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
*Prepare Revenue reports and analytics.
*Observe and assist in strategic and operational revenue planning activities.
*Understand Revenue Business Intelligence system activities and analytics.
*
Upon successful completion, you will receive a 5% pay increase.

After an additional 12 months of successful performance (end of Year 2) and upon completing the following:

*Professional Development training.
*Professional Development projects.
*Rotational assignments to other departments within the Office of Revenue and the Airports Authority as assigned.
*Assist in creating key performance indicators (KPIs) and business goals for the Commercial Parking programs.
*Participate in the Commercial Parking strategy, operational, design and construction reviews.
*Assist in the design, creation and usage of enhanced Commercial Parking operational and revenue performance business analytics within the Authority's business intelligence system.
*Assist in managing Commercial Parking strategic and operational activities.

Upon successful completion, you will receive a one grade increase and you will move to the Analyst (Year 3) job profile.

Analyst (Year 3) you will work more independently on assigned projects for your department and continue your job-related training and certification(s).

After an additional 12 months of successful performance (end of Year 3) and upon completing the following:

*Lead an initiative aimed at growing non-airline revenue or significantly enhancing the customer experience within the Terminal Concessions programs.
*Demonstrate understanding of measurement systems and tools to benchmark and track progress against Terminal Concessions revenue organization goals, standards, and framework.
*Assist in creating key performance indicators (KPIs) and business goals for the Terminal Concessions programs.
*Participate in the Terminal Concessions strategy, operational, design and construction reviews,
*Assist in the design, creation, and usage of enhanced Terminal Concessions operational and revenue performance business analytics within the Authority's business intelligence system.
*Assist in managing Terminal Concessions strategic and operational activities.

You will have successfully completed the Professional Development Program. A one grade increase will be awarded non-competitively and be promoted to the General Business Specialist position.

Works under the direct supervision of the Revenue Strategy and Analysis Director.

Serves in the Office of Revenue at the Headquarters Office

Performs a variety of activities in support of the assigned Department. Acquires and improves professional skills while gaining real world experience and knowledge. As knowledge, experience, and skills increase, more complex and varied responsibilities are assigned. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs varied professional activities while gaining experience and real-world knowledge in the discipline.

Communicates and interacts with supervisors and staff from various offices. May interact with external business contacts.

Generates and/or reviews written material, as assigned.

May design, develop, or maintain spreadsheets or databases.

May collect, enter, revise, sort, calculate, or retrieve data and information for reports and other purposes.

May perform analyses of data or information to assist with Department functions. May develop and present recommendations based on the analyses or other information.

May perform functions in the management of contract(s) as assigned.

Develops and gives professional presentations.

Works with the Employee Development Department to create an individual development and performance plan. Identifies weaknesses and strengths in education, training, and experience.

Participates in quarterly reviews of performance.

Attends training for developmental purposes.

Meets monthly with fellow associates for training and development as well as volunteer opportunities.

Works on special assignments, as needed and may be subject to overtime pay with manager approval.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the fundamental principles, practices, and procedures related to the field and the ability to perform basic assignments in this field.

Knowledge of and ability to apply general business processes, practices, and controls.

Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Self-starter, handling multiple assignments concurrently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certifications pertinent to the field.

Master's degree in any field.

EDUCATION

A bachelor's degree or higher, obtained between August 2021 and August 2024.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

May require a state driver's license in good standing.

NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors.

May operate a vehicle airside and landside (requires AOA permit).

A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.
