Accounting Intern

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is hybrid with 2-3 days/week in the Cary, NC office.

The Accounting Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for tasks related to the Corporate Accounting function. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting, this hybrid position will be based in the Cary, NC office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare journal entries for processes related to travel and entertainment, unrecorded liabilities, intercompany allocations, etc.
• Partner with members of the Corporate team to learn areas within technical accounting and consolidation systems.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Gain exposure to complex processes like warranty, debt, and purchase accounting.
• Prepare support for SOX controls.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field is required
• Experience with SOX controls, balance sheet reconciliations, Oracle R12 is preferred
