Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Division of Student Affairs comprises over 30 departments, each responsible for providing various student support, services, and educational programs accessible to the university community. With over 300 full-time employees and over 1200 student workers, the Division supports Pirate success through environments that enhance student development, engagement, belonging, well-being, and career readiness.

Job Duties |
The primary purpose of the position is to lead and advise the committees of the Student Activities Board (
SAB) in the areas of program planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position will aid in the holistic development of
ECU students by developing, planning, promoting, staffing, and assessing a wide range of events/programs for the campus community.
Responsibilities and Duties
- This position will advise the SAB President and Vice President, along with designated committees.
- Implement a programming schedule that includes multiple weekly events.
- Maintain a knowledge of program opportunities, contact agents and artists management, negotiate program contracts, ensure program publicity, and assist with program production and house management.
- Lead the management of the Student Activities Board committee budgets and assist with the management and allocation of the full Student Activities programming budget.
- Ensure event logistics are well-coordinated.
- Lead regular meetings related to the execution of Student Activities Board events.
- Create, implement, and report the assessment results that examine the effectiveness, attractiveness, relevance, and impact of the programs supported by the office and the Student Activities Board.
- Manage potential risks and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Supervise a graduate assistant for programming to assist with Student Activities Board programs, major events, and the office programming.
- Support the facilitation of major events such as, but not limited to, Pirate Palooza, Halloween Havoc, and Barefoot on the Mall that happen throughout the year.
- Serve as on-site contact for various programs and events.
- Advise ECU students and staff on university policies and procedures that affect programming.
- Other duties as assigned.
