Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
ECU Health is the multispecialty group practice of the Brody School of Medicine.
ECU Health has over 430 providers and sees over 700,000 patient visits per year.
ECU Health is participating member in the Coastal Plains Network Accountable Care Organization and works closely with Vidant Health to improve the health of the citizens of Eastern North Carolina.
This complex organization faces increasing challenges to provide assigned nurses to serve in various ambulatory care nursing roles. |
Job Duties |
Job duties will vary dependent on the specific department assigned. A Medical/ Nursing Assistant is needed to work in various areas. The position will be responsible for maintaining the flow of clinic, obtaining vital signs, and other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse. Good oral and written skills are necessary.
Part time and Full time positions may be available.

Minimum Education/Experience |
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require registration as a Nurse Aide by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, or certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (
AAMA.) |
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation |

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
Prefer previous experience in pediatric-related nursing assistant. Current basic
CPR certification.
Phlebotomy experience would be considered a plus. |
License or Certification Required by the Department |
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Requires registration as a nurse aide by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. |
