EnSafe is expanding its team and seeking to add a Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist to join our Pensacola, FL Office. Relocation assistance is authorized for this role.

For over 44 years EnSafe has provided regulatory compliance, site assessment, engineering, and remediation services for private industry and all levels of government. EnSafe has adeptly and concurrently executed hundreds of cleanups at military installations, Superfund sites, Airports, and other Commercial, Federal, and State sites.

What we are looking for

A dynamic Geologist/Engineer or Scientist who excels as a problem-solver, renowned for hands-on practical experience in conducting investigations and site assessments within regulatory compliance. A dedicated professional who thrives on diverse projects in an atmosphere promoting creativity, and collaboration across all levels, offering a culture of support and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice passionately without limitations.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Performing Phase I/II environmental site assessments
  • Preparation of work plans
  • Conducting site investigation activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, biota, and building materials)
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration; regulatory compliance evaluation and assessment; and preparation of plans and reports.
  • Field documentation
  • Assist in writing technical reports.

What You Will Need:

  • Requires a minimum of a BS (MS preferred) in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science
  • 1-5 years of experience (previous internships are helpful)
  • Professional registration, certification, GID, geotechnical, and/or geophysics experience are a plus.
  • Preferred, EIT, PE, PG, and the ability to obtain a PE or PG license in other states.
  • Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Programs including Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a background clearance
  • Regional travel up to 35% on an annual basis, including overnight/weekends.
