Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to complete delegated tasks for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Monitor patients and report patients' condition at regular intervals and promptly report any signs or symptoms of concern.
  • Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
  • Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy and collect specimens for labs.
  • Respond to call lights, provide patient transport and maintain a clean and safe environtment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Knowledge of patient care procedures

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
  • Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification
