Job Description: SUMMARY The Facilities Coordinator oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of general working areas. Duties include running routine safety inspections, coordination and management of outside contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, fixing equipment, resolving building problems, and planning for future needs. They should also be familiar with safety regulations and best practices for facilities and building safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Manage building access and security systems, utilizing building access technology systems (Genetec) * Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of SGI occupied building areas - including exterior areas used by SGI employees * Coordinates and supervises inter-office moves of personnel and property, including physically moving items from one location to another * Manage external contractors and vendors; including contracted security services and contracted cleaning company * Keep building and all facilities up to code, and accurately follow maintenance protocols and schedules * Primary Shipping Department contact, managing shipping and receiving processes for building; including but not limited to UPS/Fed-Ex/Freight/Amazon * Support planning for the future building space needs and optimization of space * Coordinate meeting room schedules for corporate visits and meetings; Special Event Room Set-up * Lead the local Safety Committee and coordination of local health and safety initiatives * Maintain Company Vehicles assigned to corporate offices * Acts as a liaison to Building Management and vendors; compiles quotes; schedules and supervises work * Coordinates larger repairs with the Landlord and ensures a prompt resolution * Makes small repairs to paint, drywall, doors, door locks, furniture, etc. Level Based Competencies Initiating Action Safety Focus Work Standards Positive Approach Earning Trust Managing Relationships Customer Orientation Managing Work Technical knowledge/skills * Property and Asset Management * Basic Mechanical and Repair capabilities * Building access technology systems (Genetec) * Safety regulations and best practices for facilities and building safety * Maintenance protocols and schedules * Read and analyze construction documents, specifications, contracts, and invoices General knowledge/skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Computer (intermediate knowledge) * Problem solving skills (intermediate knowledge) Leadership/Supervision * Coordination of contractors and directing of work * There are no direct supervision responsibilities in this role Education/Experience * Five years facilities experience or facilities related role * High school diploma or equivalent is required Dimensions No. of direct reports: 0 No. of indirect reports: 0 Budget Responsibility: No Travel Requirements: <10% Domestic Travel Working Conditions: Office, travel, and outdoors (temperature extremes, extreme weather etc) Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting/standing, lifting objects (up to 40 lbs), extended/irregular hours, bending, climbing, kneeling, stooping At Specialty Granules LLC , we believe our employees are our greatest resource.We offer competitive salary, benefits, and vacation package for all full-time permanent positions.
