Your Team

This position reports to the Director of Program Management, and is responsible for program definition, leadership, and communication across a portfolio of product development, sustaining, or improvement projects within the Medication Delivery Global Business.

What you'll be doing
  • Provide business and technical leadership for a significant program(s) within the Medication Delivery Business.

  • Leads cross-functional teams in defining program strategies, planning, defining scope, execution, developing goals, monitoring and program closure.

  • Accountable for core team performance, project schedule and execution, budget commitments and spend.

  • Provide cross-functional leadership ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders.

  • Manage all financial aspects of assigned projects, from initiation through close, which may include capital expenditures, functional expenses, and program positioning.

  • Lead teams in timely resolution of issues, including development of technical solutions, project and resourcing plans, and budgets.

  • Lead small or medium-complexity programs independently or will lead portions of a large-complexity program under the direction of a senior Program Manager.

  • Ensures identification and communication of project risks, development of risk plan and leads core team in the proactive management of risk response strategies.

  • Leads new product development programs and/or life-cycle management of product portfolios.

  • Comfortable communicating with senior leaders inside and outside the business unit.

  • Work within the guidelines of project management, standard performance metrics, and regulatory guidelines to apply best practice Project Management skills, methodologies and standards (such as PMBOK).

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific or equivalent in related discipline plus 8+ years' experience or a Master's degree in related discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of product life cycle experience with demonstrated success leading multi-site, global, or enterprise-wide programs in the Medical Device, Pharma, or Biotechnology industry.

  • Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, experienced in analyzing complex problems and in driving high performing teams.

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices and Product Development Process requirements.

  • Strong leadership and financial acumen skills.

  • Proficient with scheduling software.

  • Previous experience with electromechanical devices desired.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
