Position Purpose |
To manage, develop and expand the Center's community-based learning programming focused on Social Impact leadership. The
Program Manager, Social Sector Leadership will take a lead role in managing the Center's growing 4-year social impact leadership development programming and will support the portfolios work in domestic and international internships and social impact careers.
This is an exciting position with substantial growth opportunities for someone interested in social justice with an eye toward preparing the next generation of social impact leaders. The position includes program management, program development, curriculum-building, event planning, and student advising. The Program Manager will work closely with the Center's Assistant Director to support current and new programming that deepens student learning and community impact. The position requires a candidate with deep commitment to student learning, social impact, a collaborative work style, strong execution and program and event management skills, and the capacity to serve as an inspiring role model and mentor to Dartmouth students. |

- Five (5) years of work experience.
- Celebration of and commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social impact work, the social sector, or nonprofits.
- Exceptional teaching and facilitation skills and the ability to excite, inspire, engage and manage undergraduate students and student groups.
- Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate relationships with different stakeholders (students, alumni, community partners, staff, etc.).
- Experience with event or trip coordination and project management.
- Proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel, Database Management, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's Degree.
- Knowledge of community-driven experiential learning and the best practices therein.
- Strong self-awareness, interpersonal and collaborative abilities; demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with experience communicating across multiple stakeholder groups (faculty, community partners, students, parents, administrators, etc.)
- A strong sense of fun!
