Assembly & Test: The primary purpose of Assembly & Test is to provide the capability to assemble and test products at system (whole engine), sub-system, module, and component level and to collect and validate data and pass it back to the design engineering teams to support verification of the product design, for the aerospace, industrial and marine programs. Morethan 18,000 people work in Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test Operations worldwide making it the largest function within Rolls-Royce. What you'll do: On this intern program as an Assembly & Test Intern, you'll gain practical experience on real-life assignments within one of our core areas, including Test Engineering, Test Electrical and Mechanical Systems Engineering, Test Data and Control Systems Engineering, or Experimental Assembly & Instrumentation. that will put your theoretical knowledge to the test. You will be assigned a manager and career coach, so you'll be learning directly from a skilled professional. And all the projects you do will be in support of a real business need, with a direct link to our products and customers. It makes for a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas and really make a difference. Not only will you receive on-the-job training, but you'll also develop a host of transferable skills. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, and you'll receive support from different people within the business, all of whom will be committed to helping you to deliver your best, creating a well-rounded networking foundation. What you'll need: Candidates will embody strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate some coursework in one/or more of the following areas: programming languages, electrical engineering, aerodynamics, aerospace systems design, astrodynamics applications. Candidates will be able to/have:
Relevant Majors: Attending an accredited college/university working towards a bachelor's degree in a relevant major and returning to school in the fall:
