Key Position Details: Full time position (40 hours per week; 1.0 FTE) Day/Evenings: Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 2:30pm No weekends Benefit eligible Job Description: Provides quality care under the supervision of a therapist. Supports departmental functions including equipment maintenance, cleaning and assisting the front desk. Principle Responsibilities Assists therapists. Provides hands on assistance as directed by therapy provider in therapy sessions. Provides safe patient equipment, ensures personal safety, and safe work environment. Recognizes emergency medical situations, symptoms, and take appropriate actions. Uses equipment and proper body mechanics to reduce injury to self and patients. Uses communication techniques that reflect attention to age, cultural and population specific needs of the patient and family. Supports department functions. Thoroughly documents relevant cleaning, maintenance, O2 tank status, and crash cart checks. Activities may include patient transport to and from department, transfers, escorting patient to treatment room or gym when appropriate, supervise patients on equipment, and perform modality set-up based on training. Completes equipment cleaning, stocking, and ordering as appropriate. Participates in program development, professional practice, and quality teams as requested. Promotes rehabilitation services. Assists front desk. May include answering phones, scheduling, copying, filing, calling patients, outcomes management, and medical records functions as training security allows. May assists with the orientation of new staff, students, and volunteers. May ensures appropriate patient education information is supplied and orders as needed. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED 0 to 2 years in a health care setting Licenses/Certifications BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource within 60 Days Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weightUp to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
