Job Description

Dewberry is seeking an Entry-Level Planner to join our Transportation Funding Support group in our Rancho Cordova, CA, office to work on various client projects. The Entry-Level Planner will provide planning support for our local agency clients on a variety of transportation planning activities, including competitive grant applications.

Responsibilities

Qualified candidates must be able to manage and coordinate assignments with a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates in this position will:

    Assist with the development and preparation of planning documents related to transportation planning
  • Assist with competitive grant applications
  • Be proficient with ArcGIS and prepare GIS maps to support planning projects and grants
  • Conduct research and data collection necessary for planning level analysis.
  • Assist with community outreach ranging from in-person events to online content such as project surveys
  • Possess a BS Degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to work in a team environment.


Required Skills & Required Experience

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to pass a driving record background check.

The projected range for this position is $70,000-$110,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
