We are a highly collaborative team responsible for connecting with press and influencers to grow brand awareness and amplify brand messages on social media. In addition to strategizing, creating, and executing content across our social channels, you will interface with top tier media for brand exposure.

About the Role

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Senior Social Media & Public Relations Specialist. You will be responsible for overseeing our social media channels, creating content, engaging with influencers, and acting as a key contact for all media inquiries. The ideal candidate will be a social media expert with media relations, general marketing, or advertising expertise. This role blends creativity, analytics, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities



  • Stay current with social media trends across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest
  • Create content across social media channels that is relevant, engaging, and an extension of the brand voice
  • Identify and develop relationships with key influencers that can act as brand storytellers on behalf of Mark & Graham
  • Seamlessly execute campaigns and giveaways including vendor setup, contracts, communication, product seeding, tracking and posting
  • Oversee all product seeding requests, partnering with internal merchant teams, shipping and delivery teams and the influencer
  • Analyze and report on performance for social media and earned media placements, with your latest results driving future strategies
  • Draft a polished, compelling pitch to press and secure coverage in top media outlets.
  • Liaise with our external PR agency for seasonal launches and campaigns, as well as facilitate inbound image and product requests.
  • May be given the opportunity to coordinate and host events with press and influencers to grow brand awareness.


Criteria



  • You have expertise in social media, content creation, influencer marketing and media relations with 1-3 years' experience working in-house or for an agency
  • You are a creative thinker, with an eye for strong content and vision for storytelling
  • You stay current with social media trends. You are extremely active on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest and know the latest viral videos, music, etc. You can write a caption that is relevant, engaging and an extension of the brand voice
  • You work with a sense of urgency and stay organized with several competing projects/tasks
  • You take great pride in keeping a pulse on the latest trends in fashion, home design and entertaining
  • Are a skilled user of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have experience with Cision's Media Services, and other proprietary media contact software

The expected starting pay range for this position is $75,000 - $78,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
