Position Overview

The Clinical Systems Infrastructure Engineer provides support to the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management and coordination of clinical systems and services. Maintains technical currency and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet clinical user needs. Presents information to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware and software to support known clinical user requirements. Utilizes infrastructure management tools to provide system and service reporting and data trends analysis to ensure clinical user needs are met. Works cross-functionally with other teams inside and outside of Information Services to ensure optimal clinical user experience and customer support.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Contribute to IT infrastructure/network projects/operations as directed.
  • Provide customer solutions around infrastructure/network in line with defined service level commitments.
  • Consolidate and communicate KPIs and activity tracking indicators with team and business stakeholders as requested.
  • Respond to security incidents and escalate as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in creating capacity planning and utilization reports for own area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.



Minimum Education and/or Training:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field of study required.
  • Master's degree preferred.



Minimum Experience:



  • Some experience and/or understanding of supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery preferred.



Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:



  • Is aware of network and infrastructure concepts related to own role to provide ongoing support to business teams.
  • Executes tasks related to network/infrastructure monitoring to ensure asset capacity and availability as per plans.



Compensation


In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Clinical Systems Infrastructure Engineer.
