Thales Defense & Security, Inc. has an opening for an intern within the Manufacturing Operations department for 8 weeks during the summer of 2025. This position will be responsible for some entry level assignments that will provide exposure to multiple job families. This position is located in Clarksburg office and reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering.

Please Note: The incumbent must be prepared to start in Clarksburg, MD in Summer 2025.



Responsibilities

    Develop process improvements
  • Redesign the flow and layout of manufacturing processes to increase productivity and profitability
  • Designing tools & fixtures to support production
  • Support final development & implementation of products into manufacturing

Intern must be able to comply with Thales policies, procedures and guidelines.



Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Most be enrolled in an accredited university of college and have completed at least 2 semesters within the Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be proficient in English both verbal and written.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.

The hourly pay range for this role is $22.00 - $25.00 USD. The hour pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
