Title:Assistant Professor of Mathematics (Mathematics Education) Division: Provost's Office Department: Pott College of Science, Engineering, & Education FLSA Status:Exempt Salary Range:Annual Salary EEO Job Group:2 C5 Position Summary The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications forAssistant Professor of Mathematics (Mathematics Education). The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics with a focus in Mathematics Education to begin in August 2025. Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities include teaching mathematics content and methods courses for preservice elementary teachers, teaching graduate courses for in-service teachers, maintaining an active research agenda, engaging in professional and university service activities, and advising undergraduate mathematical sciences majors. The faculty member will have the potential to develop a research agenda that leads to scholarly works and the engagement of students. Start-up funds and other financial support are available to initiate a productive research effort. Required Knowledge and Skills A Doctorate in Mathematics Education or closely related field is required. Doctoral candidates will be considered if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2025, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2026.
