IT Project Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Newark, DE and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the management of the full life cycle of activities to implement technology change
  • Lead large complex Shared Integration and Data Services initiative projects responsible for project design oversight, delivery and budget
  • Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing or newly proposed system infrastructure
  • Coordinate with multiple application teams, testers, system architects and line of business partners to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs
  • Communicate the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining functional requirements to support new epics/features
  • Ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, system architects, vendors, and service providers
  • Clarifies the solution architecture for the development teams to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve any impediments
  • Help drive defect resolution to ensure code is functioning as designed
  • Orchestrate project scoping/estimates for new technologies and planned initiatives to enable stakeholders to determine best path forward while assisting with project prioritization and application capacity to support that work
  • Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions
  • Produce detailed project plans and frequent project status updates
  • Manage risk and ensures appropriate risk escalations occur
  • Quickly and concisely communicate issues or impediments to senior management
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, compliance and policies in effect



Requirements:

  • 10+ years in technology industry
  • 5 years related project management experience
  • Program Management and Project Management
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to orchestrate and drive multiple project teams/work streams to meet project deadlines
  • Assertive individual with the ability to execute with limited direction
  • Ability to identify and engage key stakeholders to facilitate and drive progress and resolution
  • Excel in time management and simultaneously manage multiple yet unrelated events
  • Capability to distill complex information from various sources to formulate a strategic plan of execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including senior management
  • Team player who is comfortable leading cross-functional teams inclusive of business, operations, and technology
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills with Excel
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Possess intellectual curiosity
  • Tenacious extrovert



Desired Skills:

  • Experience with credit card technology
  • MS Project



Pay Range: $52.10-$60.10
