About the role....

This is a great opportunity to manage a team responsible for developing, implementing and managing business systems and processes that minimize risk to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance supporting the use of Inari's germplasm. The primary function of the team is to manage and fulfill seed requests from inventory and to onboard externally procured seed. You will be responsible for collaborating with Inari Legal, Regulatory, Commercial and Early and Late Product Development employees for the purpose of seed requests, management and onboarding. As a member of the Seed Operations team you will lead process development. This position is based in West Lafayette, Indiana.

As the Seed Resource Manager, you will...



  • Lead and support the team to manage the electronic and physical onboarding of seed into the Inari seed stock


  • Lead and support the team in the seed request process in order to distribute seed in line with project needs, supply, legal and regulatory requirements


  • Responsible for distribution of seed internally based on requests received, inventory, and established priorities


  • Collaborate with multiple teams across functions to meet deadlines and company goals related to seed acquisition and distribution


  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of cross functional and risk mitigating processes and procedures related to seed inventory and use


  • Manage seed shipping and receiving compliant with Inari procedures and international, federal, state and local laws


  • Lead the center of expertise for phytosanitary requirements supporting own team and other functions in obtaining phytosanitary certificates related to seed movement


  • Collaborate with the Breeding team to create, implement and continually improve policies and procedures to manage Inari's germplasm both physically and electronically


  • Lead the germplasm use forecast and increase process for science and early product development


  • Manage personnel within the seed resources team. Provide leadership to the Seed Resources team and develop employees to create and sustain a high performing team.


You Bring...



  • M.S. or B.S. degree with 3-5 years work experience in agriculture related field


  • Relevant seed industry experience


  • Basic knowledge of seed testing (e.g. genetic markers, genome sequencing, disease testing)


  • A high degree of self-motivation and organizational skills, with a process driven mindset


  • Systems thinking - able to think critically, conceptually, and analytically about systems and procedures


  • People management experience


  • Familiarity with obtaining permits for seed movement


  • Experience with Quality Management System(s)


  • Sound and accurate judgment; accountable for decisions made within the scope of responsibility and focused on meeting established short-term goals and long-term objectives


  • Energy, self motivation, ownership and focused execution Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the end results in mind


  • Strong record-keeping, technical writing and project management skills


  • Committed to accuracy with excellent attention to detail


  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PRISM experience is a bonus


  • A strong sense of purpose and drive to develop unique, high impact solutions.


  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a passion for learning.
