Information Assurance Analyst

Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is seeking a highly skilled Information Assurance Analyst to provide expertise in cybersecurity for Department of Defense (DoD) systems. This role involves conducting Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes, evaluating security vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with DoD security standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information security and certification processes.

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Information Assurance Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.


Information Assurance Analyst Responsibilities Include:



  • Conduct RMF Assessment and Authorization for DoD systems.
  • Evaluate and mitigate security vulnerabilities in IT systems.
  • Manage the certification and accreditation process for Defense systems.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure system compliance with DoD security standards.
  • Provide expertise in IT concepts, system software, and security testing procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Information Assurance Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) or in a similar functional area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management and practical experience in conducting Certification and Accreditation (RMF Assessment and Authorization).
  • Accredited associate degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience with Defense RMF A&A, ISCM, Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) procedures, and systems engineering principles.
  • Must have an approved IAM Level III certification: CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Possess a secret clearance or obtain an Interim Secret with a pending National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
  • Strong knowledge of IT concepts, systems development lifecycles, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
