Job Summary

#CA-SS

The role of this position will provide front desk services to patients and administrative support at the Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) located at 4900 Broadway. This building requires a monthly parking permit costing $58.00. This position will also provide part-time front desk back up and administrative support to the CAARE Center located at 3671 Business Drive.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in practices and protocols related to medical office operations.
  • Experienced with system applications required for this position (EMR registration and scheduling functions, EPIC preferred; EXCEL, WORD, Outlook).
  • Experience with health care insurance systems including Medi-Cal, HMO & PPO requirements to sufficiently obtain and track authorizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing administrative support to medical or mental health providers.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Department Overview

The vision of the Department of Pediatrics is the healthiest future for all children and families, with a mission dedicated to creating a healthy future for all children through outstanding patient care, transformative research, innovative medical education and community-based advocacy. As part of this mission, the purpose of the CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center is to provide culturally responsive, trauma informed patient care (mental health
services), teaching and research on behalf of abused/neglected and at-risk children. The CAARE Center specializes in treating childhood trauma, offering evidence-based treatment within a multidisciplinary setting that values staff wellness. Mental health services are provided to children ages 0 to 21 through various service contracts and grants across settings, including outpatient clinics, pediatric clinics, juvenile hall, and community settings.

Children and families are impacted by systemic, cultural, social, and economic factors, and face barriers and challenges when seeking mental health services.
