Position Summary The Measurement Technician will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of oil and gas meters, measurement recording equipment, perform operations and maintenance at meter site locations in compliance with company policy and procedures, and are in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. This position will be based out of the field offices in Watford City or New Town, North Dakota. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with the 9/80 Option. Level and salary commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions
  • Test, calibrate, operate, maintain, and inspect electronic and mechanical flow meters and obtain oil/gas samples
  • Witness testing and calibration of 3rd party meters
  • Complete applicable reporting and documentation of key operating parameters
  • Maintain meter proving reports
  • Set and maintain third part LACT proving schedule
  • Approve construction flow testing of all new measurement equipment
  • Schedule and obtain oil and gas samples.
  • Set and maintain gas and oil meter calibration and prover schedules.
  • Follow and stay up to date with API standards and attend API training programs.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices
  • Communicate and interface with measurement, production, and third-party operators when required
  • Providing resolution suggestions regarding measurement system failures, including hands-on troubleshooting and repairs when required.
  • General lab experience operating various analytical equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in an oil and gas measurement role
  • Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record for Company vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and practices
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Able to handle exposure to noise, extreme weather conditions, and areas where hazardous chemicals are present
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively
  • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical and to be able to meet all physical requirements of the job
