Performs diagnostic trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance of sophisticated complex electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical biomedical equipment. Examples include ventilators, anesthesia machines, ultrasound, surgical lasers, infusion systems, patient monitoring systems, and other electro-mechanical and microprocessor-based instrumentation. Repairs and maintains other non-direct patient care equipment. Should have general IT and cybersecurity knowledge related to the healthcare technology environment. Evaluates new, proposed and existing equipment and related maintenance programs making recommendations for changes. Coordinates vendor service for repairs and preventive maintenance. Performs acceptance inspection of new biomedical equipment and ensures equipment meets manufacturers' specifications for safe and proper use. Completes purchase requisitions for parts and supplies. Contributes to continuous quality improvement projects and activities. Assumes lead role for Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 & 1. Performs duties independently with minimal need for assistance or supervision. Maintains a safe, clean and pleasant work environment. Fulfills team roles as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $101,456 - $126,157 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $48.59 - $60.42 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
