Now Hiring a CDL INSTRUCTOR In Sanford, Florida -- Join an Awesome Team !!

The CDL Instructors responsibilities include preparing students to obtain a Class B CDL while delivering classroom lessons that promote students' theoretical and applied driving skills. Driving instructors also communicate with students to determine which of their abilities require further development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:




  • Providing instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle, and how to perform pre-& post-trip inspections
  • Ensure students understand all DOT requirements and on-road regulations.
  • Teaching practical skills related to all aspects of professional driving.
  • Helping students to develop confidence in their driving skills.
  • How to maintain control of a commercial vehicle during emergency situations.
  • Calming students who are nervous or stressed.
  • Scheduling Driving Tests in State System
  • Conducting CDL Testing per Florida Regulations
  • Accurate Documentation and maintenance of training records
  • Reporting all accidents immediately to the Risk Department


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a commercial driving instructor
  • Current Florida 3rd Party Certifier or the knowledge and ability to obtain Florida 3rd Party Certifier status within 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Patience and enthusiasm
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
  • Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor
