Job Title: Loan Operations Specialist IV

Physical Location: 2778 West Jackson Street, Bldg C, Tupelo MS 38803

Reports To: Loan Operations Supervisor

Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions

Job Group Category: Non-Exempt

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Overtime as Needed)

Primary Purpose: (Summary of major reason this job exists)

To ensure proper documentation of all consumer loans including compliance with federal and state regulations with special attention on consumer regulatory requirements of the CFPB, FDIC, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned)

Review all loan consumer purpose applications (requests for credit) and enter remaining information that is necessary for Consumer Lending Services to be able to make a credit decision

Complete and mail to the customer any preliminary disclosures that are required

Verify and image property tax, hazard insurance, and appraisal information prior to closing

Closely monitor any changes made to a loan once preliminary disclosures have been mailed. If changes are needed updated disclosures are prepared and mailed by the department

Work with Title Company, Attorney and/or lenders to prepare Closing Disclosure.

Assist lenders with understanding the issues that are identified in loan applications prior to closing and guide them to the correct sources of information to obtain a solution that eliminates the compliance issue

Maintain knowledge of applicable Federal Regulations and assist in the implementation of corporate compliance with current regulations, changes in regulations, and the addition of new regulations

Able to research regulatory questions that occur outside of the normal realm of day to day loan transactions

Bridge relationship between lending staff, regional loan coordinators, compliance staff, and central loan operations to achieve consensus on issue resolution

Understand practical application of Cadence Bank lending policies and procedures

Master Platform 2 with a skill set that exceeds that of a standard end user.

Develop policies and procedures as they relate to pre-closing compliance review

Perform peer reviews of actions taken on loans reviewed to create standards and consistency among department members

Obtain applicable Regulatory certifications as deemed applicable to job duties

Provide support and training for the lending staff and central loan operations that must understand Federal regulations

Job Specifications: (Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)

High school diploma or equivalent

Two - Four years of loan preparation and processing experience

Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations preferred

Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)

Close attention to detail and good organizational skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines
