Purpose of Role

Records financial transactions, following the accounting rules and internal control guidelines, and present them in a form that informs business decisions.

Key Accountabilities Include



  • Ensure application of company policies and accounting guidelines.
  • Support timely resolution of issues.
  • Support accurate and timely processing of subledger and GL recordings.
  • Support awareness and adherence to internal controls.
  • Ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial reports.


Primary Responsibilities Include



  • Provide inventory cost updates and review inter - warehouse transfers.
  • Inventory Reporting and Analysis including landing costs, slow or obsolete inventories and inventory reserve requirements, and fluctuation analysis.
  • Participate in month end close activities; prepare journal entries and enter journal entries for posting.
  • Create master data records and maintain subledger entries
  • Advise internal departments.
  • Provide information and answers to financial and JSOX auditors.
  • Prepare the parents company reporting package.
  • GL accounts reconciliation and analysis; including fluctuation analysis.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures for responsible tasks.

  • Internal Controls Over Financial Statement: Document internal controls/process flows and establish internal controls in compliance with JSOX.
  • Reconciliations: Ensure that two sets of accounting records are in agreement.
  • Reporting: Generate appropriate reports to meet information requests and/or needs.

Qualifications
Ideal



  • Inventory cost updates and review inter - warehouse transfers.
  • Inventory Reporting and Analysis including landing costs, slow or obsolete inventories and inventory reserve requirements, and fluctuation analysis.
  • Advanced Excel experience; including manipulating large datasets, creating complex formulas, and generating reports.
  • Demonstrated success applying GAAP (IFRS) to financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP.
  • Progressive experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate environment.
  • Progressive experience with account reconciliation/intercompany reconciliations and reserve balance analysis.
  • Experience with reporting systems.
  • Conduct period close reconciliation of multiple inventory locations and tie out inventory subledger records to general ledger.
  • Support physical inventories and inventory audit requirements.


Preferred



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle.
  • 5+ years related experience in general ledger accounting in corporate environment.

Compensation



  • Up to $95,000/ per year
  • The posted compensation is the base pay. This is the hiring range and does not include bonus potential or the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time.
  • Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
