Initial Posting Date: 09/06/2024Application Deadline: 09/23/2024Agency: Oregon Youth AuthoritySalary Range: $4,338 - $6,635Position Type: EmployeePosition Title: Learning & Development Specialist 1Job Description: OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITY Learning & Development Specialist 1 Salem - OYA TRAINING ACADEMYOregon Youth Authority (OYA) Training Academy is seeking a permanent, full-time Learning and Development Specialist 1 (LDS 1) located at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards & Training building in Salem. This position's primary responsibility is to organize, coordinate, and implement a high-quality training program for new staff, veteran staff and OYA stakeholders. As the LDS1, you will maintain and provide consistent and appropriate training curriculum as approved by the Oregon Youth Authority. In this position, you will instruct various OYA classes including on-going development and implementation of OYA's defensive tactics program. Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison to designated sections of the agency to consult, advise and ensure new employees are on-boarded as well as advise management on how to get the training needed to meet their location and operational needs.
