This is a full-time position based in Anchorage, AK working on-site and is eligible for benefits, paid time off and holiday pay. Worley offers a comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, employer paid short-term disability and life insurance, employer 401K match and more.

Job Purpose:

Under close supervision, performs very basic engineering tasks in support of other engineers, which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

The position is based in Anchorage at the Worley Fabrication Facility, on a 5 day a week work schedule. Schedule subject to change pending the project(s) needs. Position is anticipated to last about 8 months, with potential to extend.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Provides technical support to more experienced engineers.
  • Prepares sketches and performs very basic calculations in support of broader engineering activities involving the design of equipment, components, structures, or systems.
  • Gathers and records information to be used for writing specifications.
  • Reviews vendor information to assure compliance with specifications.
  • Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.

  • Possess ability to learn knowledge of engineering and organizational practices.
  • Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
  • Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.

Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, extreme cold or heat and high noise levels. Employee will work in an environment where there is risk that they will be exposed to toxic, caustic and/or hazardous chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. Workers are required to wear personal protective equipment while on the job. The work generally requires routine walking, sitting, standing, squatting, climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, and carrying items. An individual will be required to work most hours in an industrial environment and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands.

  • BA/BS college or university enrolled student seeking engineering degree or relevant field is desired.
  • Two to three (2-3) academic years as a student successfully and currently enrolled in pursuing completion of an engineering degree is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment (or equivalent working knowledge/experience).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
