The Opportunity

We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to implement large programs within the Workfront product team, with intersections across Adobe. This position will be accountable for coordinating initiatives requiring deep technical comprehension, while also improving influence without authority. The ideal person will lead exec-level presentations, and "own the outcome" -- ensuring programs complete successfully.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering and business partners to complete Workfront's product strategies on complex, dynamic programs.

  • Create and track all aspects of a program, including: detailed plans and milestones, resource allocations, risks/issues remediation, status reporting, exec updates, roadmap updates, and serve as the "go to" person for details & state of things.

  • Engage with customers, partners, and internal team members, representing the strategy, roadmap, risks/issues, and opportunities.

  • Build material(s) that can be shared/consumed at various levels of the organization - from executive-level presentations, to finite-level materials to be consumed by project/program teams.

  • Maintain a deep, technical end-to-end understanding of the solution being built, its upstream and downstream dependencies and impacts, and proliferate the awareness and vital changes needed to support the initiative.

  • Proactively identify risks in all assigned areas; work with teams and management to mitigate these risks before they become issues.

  • Effectively engage and influence people at all levels: from front-line team members to VPs, communicating continuously to partners throughout the organization.

  • Influence without authority - including other departments and organizations.

  • Understand and bring clarity to complex technical challenges, and successfully articulate and navigate through options that deliver the best customer experience

  • Working amongst competing priorities and challenging schedules to get your programs across the finish line in a mode that brings value to customers.

What you need to succeed:

  • Be steadfast in the pursuit of excellence - own the outcome

  • Ability to engage directly with customers and drive-up their value/utilization

  • Ability to lead teams in different time zones, geo locations, product teams, etc.

  • Outstanding attention to detail; understands the what, why, when, how and who to drive better solutions.

  • Self-starter w/ 10+ years of progressive project/program management experience on large scale initiatives; focus on platform work

  • Experience in an always-on, services-based infrastructure/architecture, ensuring seamless customer experiences; scaled to address future demands

  • Must know their audience; the ability to present to everyone from C-level to the Individual Contributor assigned to the project/program; ability to influence, and have data-driven conversations.

  • Must have experience leading multiple large programs from inception through launch and operationalization.

  • Be able to work well across organizations in a matrixed; globally-diverse workforce

  • Experience with applications such as Workfront, Jira, or other workload (Backlog) management tools required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and experience running large SaaS-based programs required.
