Private Insurance Biller

Northwest Respiratory Services is a leading provider of oxygen & respiratory products throughout the Midwest & Northern Rockies. Working from our Eagan, MN office, we are currently in search of a seasoned Billing Specialist. This position is responsible for preparing complete and accurate billing to Private Insurance carriers and to resolve open balances in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and process daily insurance claims for electronic submission.
• Review denials, correct claims and resubmit.
• Work with Insurance carriers to resolve billing issues.
• Process insurance changes and updates.
• Maintain understanding of insurance contracts/payers we handle and keep abreast of any changes with these contracts

Our top candidates will have:

• Well versed in Medical insurance/terminology/billing. Experience with HME is a plus
• Great communication skills: written and verbal, contacting referrals, facilities, patients, etc.
• Work individually and as a team to meet individual and departmental goals
• Participate in individual feedback sessions, staff meetings and annual training and/or competency tests
