Job Summary




This position as Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for the plant in Bentleyville, PA along with providing support for two additional smaller plant locations in Missouri and Alabama. The Senior Cost Accountant owns all SOX Controls for the Nash NAM business of Ingersoll Rand and is responsible for leading all internal & external audit reviews. The Senior Cost Accountant also provides support to the team through participation in weekly meetings and providing documentation & reporting as required. Other tasks assigned include but are not limited to yearend physical inventory, R&D & Accounts Receivable support.



Responsibilities



  • SOX Controls:


    Ensure compliance with all SOX Controls assigned to business unit. Responsible for completion of all reports, documentation, and timely load of information to SOX Hub for audit review. This includes: Reviewing month end shipments for accuracy and complying with all reporting needs / sign offs. Review includes: Billings due, Open delivery report, Inco terms, POC revenue recognition. Order entry and confirmation of accuracy / proper approvals. Account Reconciliation review & approval. PPV, E&O, GRIR, Capitalized Variance, Cycle Count, Warranty - Report completion & review / approval.



  • Audit Lead:


    Primary contact on all audit requests, reviews, & quarterly / annual audits.



  • Weekly Meeting & Reporting Support:


    Actively participate in weekly "IDM's" including but not limited to - Growth Room, Process Development, and Inventory Management. Provide supporting documentation and data to teams as requested - Forecasted values, actual results, & KPI data points as assigned.




  • Disputed Collections:


    Lead weekly dispute meetings - Complete files for review and follow up with team members on open issues. Keep list at manageable level by thoroughly reviewing details of Purchasing Agreement to ensure timely collection and resolution of outstanding items.



  • Physical Inventory:


    Lead annual physical inventory at 4 site locations. Responsible for managing all documentation & requirements for SOX Reporting. Complete summary of physical inventory results and roll forward required for yearend reporting.



  • Reports:


    Maintain Sales & Orders report and distribute daily. Responsible for monthly / quarterly updates related to forecasting / budgeting adjustments. Maintain project forecasting file for report out of weekly estimate.



  • Provide financial support to R&D "I2V" team - Project analysis & approval. Tracking of monthly savings.



  • Other duties as assigned or requested.






Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.


  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing industry.


  • Proficient in Microsoft applications as well as SAP or Oracle.


  • HFM & BW systems and applications are preferred.


  • Self-starter, detail oriented, ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to change quickly and work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
