Description

Mirion Technologies is seeking an LCM AIM System Engineer III for the Life Cycle Management group who should a have strong understanding of integrated TCP/IP systems with an emphasis on resolving site reported issues. This position requires a hands-on, daily interaction with a growing team of intermediate to experienced field service engineers delivering integrated systems to nuclear and other complex and critical infrastructures. This candidate will work primarily within the Life Cycle Management group of the Secure Integrated Solutions (SIS) division.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Lead in supporting and executing our internal processes relating to software service packs for our customers.
  • Participate in all aspects of supporting fielded systems which includes resolving work orders, preventative maintenance onsite visits, and providing remote/onsite support as needed on assigned project(s).
  • Assist with setting up and configuring our software integration lab to support work orders, preventative maintenance visits, and/or service pack deliveries.
  • Lead efforts with cross-platform teams to deliver project deliverables which might include database changes, documents, software releases, etc.
  • Assist with testing activities on assigned project(s).
  • Follow all SIS ISO, CMMI, and software engineering policies and procedures in performing day to day activities on assigned project(s).
  • Ensure assigned tasks are completed on schedule and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Establish effective communications and working relationships with internal and external customers under the guidance of management team on assigned project(s).
  • Acquire knowledge of SIS Security Systems products and services.
  • Up to 65% Travel to customer sites.
  • Other duties as required.



KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS



  • Required

    • Bachelor's degree and around 10 years prior relevant experience OR
    • In absence of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience is required.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to interface with vendors and customers (internal and external).
    • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Ability to work in demanding environments with demanding customers.
    • Ability to be proactive in seeking opportunities to contribute or improving processes within our team or organization.
    • The desire to learn new technologies and apply those to current and future projects.




  • Preferred

    • Ten (10) years or more of supporting and troubling TCP/IP integrated computer systems and real-time computer-based process control systems.
    • Ten (10) years or more of experience in systems integration, including all phases of the software/system development life cycle is required.
    • Basic working knowledge of the following technologies:

      • Cyber security components.

        • Switches - commands to login, check port status, unlock security violations - sticky MAC.
        • Trellix ePO - login and check basic configuration items for SIEM, HIPS, Virus Scan, and SolidCore.


      • Video management systems - NiceVision, QVMS, analog encoders, IP cameras, and PTZ controls (Bosch and PELCO).


    • Strong knowledge/experience with the following:

      • Basic hardware (Servers/Workstations).
      • Understanding/troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks - multihomed computer systems.
      • Microsoft Windows Administration - Local and domain level, Event Viewer Logs, Active Directory, Group Policy, Application Control (AppLocker).
      • Configuration management processes and tools such as DOORS, GIT, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.
      • Knowledge and understand of IP network configurations and troubleshooting methods.
      • Knowledge and understanding of standard networking protocols (TCP/IP), and network-based application protocols (HTTP, SQL, FTP, etc.).
      • Virtualized environment (i.e., VMWare).
      • Microsoft operating systems.
      • Oracle and MS SQL server administration - start/oracle services; executing SQL statements, such as select, update, and delete; backing up and restore the database.


    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
