Senior Concept Design Engineers - Front End Innovation

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Create solid models, drawings, and other engineering documents in support of designing functional prototypes of innovative concepts in NX or SolidWorks.
  • Design, assemble, fabricate, and demonstrate working models of innovative concepts.
  • Use mechanical design and stress analysis, material and heat treat selection, experimental techniques, statistical data analysis, and other engineering tools to develop theories and support conclusions.
  • Participate in local and regional field research and user centered design process. Define benefits that are critical to our users and build prototypes to execute on those benefits.
  • Leading or training a team of engineers.
  • Work closely with other core competencies within the organization (Marketing, Reliability, Testing, Rapid Prototyping) to develop best in class products.
  • Critically evaluate product designs considering user needs, durability, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Implement machine learning algorithms in embedded environments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Master's or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering field, along with 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering field, along with 5 years of relevant experience. Experience must include:

  • Front-End Innovation in the Consumer Products Market.
  • Implementing machine learning algorithms in embedded environments.
  • Python and C/C++.
  • Rapid Prototype development ranging from low fidelity to looks-like/works-like.
  • 3D modeling in NX, SolidWorks, or CREO.
