About Stewart: Student Intern, Civil Engineering This position is a temporary, full-time summer student internship working 40 hours a week (estimated dates May 2025 - August 2025). As a Civil Engineering Student Intern, you will work side by side with our professional engineering staff on a variety of exciting projects ranging from complex urban infill to high-profile university and commercial projects. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with engineering team members across our multiple disciplines. You will also have opportunities for site visits and construction observation. Position Responsibilities: In this role, you will be part of a world-class engineering team, bringing high-quality designs to life for our amazing clients. This position will expose you to most aspects of civil engineering, from stormwater and utility infrastructure design to site planning. Your excellent communication skills will be put to good use, as you will be coordinating and collaborating with a variety of professionals. Position Qualifications:
Working Conditions and Physical Demands: You are willing and able to work in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels and consistent exposure to light, both natural and artificial. Workstations are in an open space layout with frequent collaboration and interactions from co-workers throughout the day. Within the office, you are willing and able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Additional requirements include providing on-site technical assistance by occasionally accessing client or construction sites with varying terrain.
