Chemist

Central Life Sciences is searching for a Chemist in our Dallas, TX location. This position schedules and performs chemical analysis for various animal health products including raw material, in-process, and finished products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quality testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products (e.g. FTIR, pH, specific gravity, titration)
• Quantification of active ingredient concentrations utilizing analytical instruments (e.g. GC, HPLC, NIR)
• Maintenance, calibration and troubleshoot of highly sensitive instruments
• Development, optimization, and validation of analytical test methods
• Evaluation of test results and critical decision making with OOS results
• Close cooperation with engineering and QA department to perform precise root-cause analysis and sufficient corrections for product defects
• Assisting in new product development
• Problem solving as individual and team player
• Proficient utilization of LIMS, CDS and SAP (ERP) and standard software applications
• Able to address any questions or concerns that may arise during the testing process, preventing errors, and ensuring sustained integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: Bachelor's degree in science (preferred in chemistry)
• General knowledge of GLP, ISO, and GMP
• Fundamental knowledge of chromatography and general analytical instruments
• Audit experience preferred
• Confident handling of computer software applications

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Normal laboratory and manufacturing conditions require safety gear.
• Standard office with frequent exposure to manufacturing conditions.
