LinQuest is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

The MSEIT contract provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for the Military Communications & Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Directorate of the Space Systems Command in El Segundo. The candidate should have experience in the Configuration Management (CM) field and demonstrate the ability to apply CM processes for document control of technical requirements, statements of work (SOW), and associated Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system specifications. The candidate will control and manage technical data from different sources and organize program documentation. It is desired the candidate have the experience listed below:



  • Configuration Management Planning
  • Configuration Identification
  • Change Control Management
  • Configuration Status Accounting
  • Configuration Audits


Responsibilities:



  • Participate in weekly Change Control Boards and assist with board package coordination
  • Maintain status accounting information related to Board packages and tracking packages through enterprise and program level boards
  • Maintain Technical baseline in two databases - TopVue and Livelink
  • Support working group configuration control
  • Support SOW and CDRL documentation generation
  • Review and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Interface Revision Notices (IRNs), production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications
  • Analyze proposed changes to the Technical Baseline to determine effect on overall product and system
  • Establish change request and prepare for change authorization and documentation
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering
  • Maintain program specific configuration management plan and provide annual review and updates
  • Provide CM training on an annual or as needed basis to assigned program personnel


Required Skills:



  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, additional 4 years of configuration management experience is acceptable.
  • Expert knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and CDRL development process
  • Demonstrated capability in defining, documenting, and instantiating the configuration management process for programs and projects, including recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
  • You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain a Secret clearance for this position


Required Experience:



  • 5+ years of configuration management experience


Preferred Skills:



  • Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM)
  • Knowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973 and MIL-HDBK-61
  • Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015-2-STD
  • Familiarity with information technology (IT) and/or database management
  • Active Secret clearance or higher


Preferred Experience:



  • 5+ years' experience directly supporting DoD personnel on space programs
  • 1+ years' experience with SATCOM systems, preferably MILSATCOM
  • Hands on experience administering DoD Acquisition Management


Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $70,000 to $100,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
