SUMMARY:

Prepares complete production orders to be used by manufacturing in the building of windows, storefront, and curtain wall by performing the following duties, as well as generate erection drawings for field use to aid with installation of EFCO products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares assembly orders from blueprints suited to specified production process. Provide an accurate bill of materials for in house use. Performs assignments involving intermediate custom products and/or applications. Ability to answer questions from manufacturing regarding production orders, deferring more advanced questions to appropriate parties. (Lead Factory Order Writer or Supervisor) Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. Review and approve jobs while following standard operating procedures. Effectively manage time and prioritize projects according to deadlines and requested completion dates as needed. Be able to navigate through a set of shop drawings, whether EFCO or Customer supplied. Create erection drawings/part mark drawings for field use to aid with installation of EFCO products. Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. Adhere to EFCO policies and standard operating procedures. Any additional duties assigned by their manager. Participates in EFCO's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in Construction or Project Management is desired; and/ or a minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Word, Excel, CAD, Outlook, and AS-400

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in some of the work environment is usually loud. However, the majority of the time for this position is spent in an office environment

The employee selected for this position will be on an introductory period during which time his/her performance will be evaluated. If during this time it is determined that the employee cannot successfully fulfill the requirements of this position, every attempt will be made to return the employee to his/her previous job assignment, if it has not already been filled by another employee.
