Job Summary: The Risk Advisory Services Intern is responsible for partnering with more experienced Risk Advisory Services professionals to provide risk consulting and issues resolution to clients in the areas of internal audit, SOX, business process improvement, information technology, and fraud investigations. In this role, the Risk Advisory Services Intern participates in various stages of an internal audit or consulting engagement and provides assistance with planning, field work, engagement wrap up and report composition. Job Duties:
- Assists with the informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement process
- Assists in obtaining information, documents, and data from clients to support the completion of analysis and research of client issues
- Assists in documenting and analyzing the client's processes, risk and controls with guidance and direction from Risk Advisory Services professionals
- Assists in developing initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
- Utilizes research tools, databases, and trade publications to develop understanding of client's industry
- Assists with the research and drafting of proposals
- Maintains all documentation and work papers associated with client engagements
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance, required
- Pursuing an MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred
Experience:
- Past leadership experience, preferred
License/Certifications:
- Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required.
Language:
Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business and report writing
- Strong analytical and basic research skills
- Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
