Santa Monica Studio is seeking a talented Games User Researcher for the development of a new unannounced title!

As a Games User Researcher, you will be an accelerator to the feedback loop between players and game developers. You'll also assist our efforts to affect and delight players and our fan base.


Responsibilities

Keep up to date with current and future project updates



  • Review design documentation and playable content
  • Attend regular design, user research, and QA meetings
  • Collaborate with Design to define relevant research goals


Prepare and execute internal user testing and playtests



  • Coordinate participant recruitment and test setup
  • Prepare and validate data collection methods
  • Moderate focused 1:1 user tests and group playtests


Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data sets into meaningful insights



  • Code and distill qualitative feedback into useful data points
  • Strategically leverage game telemetry and gameplay video recordings
  • Create written and visual data reports


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in games user research
  • Degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, HCI, or Game Design
  • Strong interest and passion for video games


Preferred Experience

  • Experience working on story driven action-adventure games
