Job Title: Tax Associate (Non-Credentialed)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: Till the end of Tax Session

Job Description:

As a Tax Associate you'll work directly with our customers to answer simple tax questions to help them prepare their returns. You'll have access to our virtual tools and resources, as well as opportunities to collaborate with experts and provide updates on assigned customers. This role includes several administrative tasks to support your work, like data entry and compiling and tagging documents for tax return prep. At the end of the season, we offer opportunities to work with us again for following seasons.

• Prior tax preparation experience in a tax firm or retail setting required
• College degree is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have a background in business, finance, accounting, or tax Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts and familiarity with form 1040 and schedules
• Ability to work within a team to assist in preparation of accurate tax returns in a timely manner
• Strong Research skills and the ability to quickly use online resources to find answers
• Willingness to utilize audio/visual tools to communicate with customers
• Comfortable interacting with customers through video, in a professional way that represents our brand well Ability/motivation to expand expertise and obtain a tax credential or certification
• Client offers a program to obtain your EA license.

Must Haves:

• Tax experience for 3+ tax seasons and prepare a minimum of 30 tax returns per season (90+ returns over 3 seasons minimum requirement)
• Minimum 3 seasons of paid Tax Preparation Experience, with a minimum of 30 returns per season. (90 Returns total)
• Must have - Active PTIN
