Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include attending on the Breast Imaging service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), as well as teaching and mentoring medical graduate trainees and students. The Breast Imaging Section is part of the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center (LSCBC), where state-of-the art care is provided to patients with breast diseases. The LSCBC is one of the largest, most advanced breast centers in the country. Housed in the highly regarded Prentice Women's Hospital on the downtown Northwestern University Chicago campus, the women's imaging section provides high-volume breast cancer screening and multidisciplinary care to patients with breast disease. Over 90,000 breast imaging studies and interventional procedures are performed each year including MRI-guided biopsies. Mammography is fully digital with 12 systems including tomosynthesis capable machines, 10 state-of-the-art ultrasound units, a prone tomosynthesis/stereotactic biopsy table, and a 1.5 T MRI system. The section participates in multicenter clinical trials and research and development of new breast imaging technologies. A fellowship program in breast imaging is supported which includes 7 fellows each year. Qualified candidates will have expertise in all aspects of breast imaging, including tomosynthesis, ultrasonography, MRI, and biopsy. American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility is also required. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
