Position Summary

CAS is currently seeking a Software Engineer to be part of our Technology Talent Acceleration Program (TechTAP) for the cohort starting in July of 2025. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, MIS, Security and Risk Analysis or relevant STEM majors.

24 months or less of professional work experience in the Technology field.

Minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent.

A strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion/aptitude for software, technology, and leadership.

Demonstrated curious and inquisitive learning mindset.

Demonstrated intentional leadership experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems and solutions in clear and simple terms.

Prior technical internship experience desired.

Understanding of and experience with agility practices desired.

Duties:

The CAS Technology Talent Acceleration Program (TechTAP) offers high potential and passionate early career technologists an opportunity to grow their business acumen, leadership and technical skills while building a career with unlimited potential. Participants in the program lead by doing, gaining real-world experience by working on important and challenging projects while exploring various technical functional areas within CAS. The program involves a variety of assignments which allow the participant to rotate through functional areas such as Application Development, Big Data/Content Management, Information Security, Infrastructure, and Business Technology. Participants in the program are identified as key future leaders for the organization and will benefit from accelerated investment enhancing leadership skills.

Engage positively across multiple departments and businesses to establish clarity, vision, and mutual trust to achieve business goals all while fostering inclusion and collaboration within teams and projects.

Become familiar with current technology industry standards, development practices and development tools. Proactively learn new tools, promote their adoption, and identify opportunities for improvement. Contribute to creative solutions and challenge the status quo.

Ability to understand the value proposition for the customer and commitment to deliver clear, measurable, and demonstrable benefits always with a customer focused mindset.

Conduct project presentations to an audience that includes executives.

Serve in opportunistic leadership assignments during the program such as coaching/mentoring, technical leadership, and delivery leadership.
