$15,000 Sign on bonus offered (current employees of MGB not eligible) The Massachusetts General Hospital Heart Center's Cardiac Arrhythmia Service and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab are internationally recognized for pioneering contributions to the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, offering patients the most advanced approaches to the evaluation and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The Electrophysiology Lab offers advanced therapies including catheter ablation for atrial fibillation, ventricular tachcardia and other complex cardiac arrhythmias; implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) for the prevention of sudden cardiac death; cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) for patients with congestive heart failure and laser lead extraction. Our Cardiovascular Technologist/Radiology Technologist is a critical member of the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab team. This position requires completion of orientation, independently performing pacing and other tasks for all procedures, necessary familiarity with troubleshooting equipment and demonstrates ability to orient other members of the team. Candidate must have graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or in a related field of study; or have graduated with an Associates Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and must be certified by the ARRT and possess a valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in Massachusetts Two years of previous CVT/RT experience preferred Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire preferred / within 12 months of hire required Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
