SUMMARY The Critical Care Transport Nurse transports patients from Critical Cares areas (focus on 7th and 8th floors) to the imaging departments, to decrease delays in procedures and keep nursing staff on the floor. Team would interact directly with the Order Organizer (O2) and the Internal Transport liaisons in the HUB. O2 and Transport would call and schedule with the Critical Care Transport Team (CCTT) around the time the procedure will need to be completed. O2 will communicate, via EPIC, with the primary care RN to complete any required PPRs and prepare the patient ahead of time, at least 30 minutes. CCTT would then report to the unit and receive a brief handoff regarding the patient was being transported. CCTT would take the patient to the destination with all the appropriate equipment and remain with the patient if required. CCTT would then bring the patient directly back to the bed the patient was assigned to and report any events directly to the primary RN/Charge/Manager. This will include a note documented in EPIC by one of the team members. QUALIFICATIONS
