PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Training and Development, and Sr. Trainer, the E-Learning Developer Intern plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the cooperative's training efforts. The purpose of this position is to provide a comprehensive learning experience for the intern by immersing them in various e-learning development opportunities within the agricultural cooperative.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their training needs.

  • Support the creation of in-house, on-demand e-learning modules for employees.

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of online training modules that drive meaningful behavior change, help employees gain a deeper understanding of their roles, and gain business acumen about our products and services.

  • Review existing online training modules for needed changes, ensuring they align with current workplace needs, and propose ways to revamp these modules to make them more engaging, relevant, and impactful, while maintaining learning objectives and intended outcomes.

  • Maintain project documentation, including storyboards, scripts, and design notes while keeping in line with best practices for eLearning design.

  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to eLearning systems and software.

  • Develop evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of e-learning modules. Analyze results and use the data to recommend future enhancements.

  • Conduct a thorough review of our online platform and current offerings, identifying areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the user experience and effectiveness.

  • Update/refresh outdated information, ensuring content is current, relevant, and reflective of best practices in employee development.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) policies and procedures, as they apply.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a current student at a community college or university, actively pursuing a degree in instructional design, information technology, graphic design, web development or a closely related field.

  • Thrives in collaborative environments, enjoys the opportunity to work in teams and groups to achieve common goals.

  • Possesses a natural curiosity for learning about various aspects of the Company.

  • Skilled at taking complex information and distilling it into simple, easy-to-understand concepts, making training materials accessible to all learners.

  • Has an eye for visually-appealing web design, ensuring that online training modules are not only functional but also aesthetically engaging.

  • Understanding of user experience design (UX), with the ability to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the learning experience.

  • Familiar with basic concepts of learning design, enabling the creation of effective and impactful training materials that align with adult learning principles.

  • Familiar with tools used to develop e-learning, such as Lectora and the Articulate Suite, along with other common software such as Camtasia, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.

  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development

  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

  • Must be able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
