JOB DETAILS

This is an onsite internship in Sacramento, CA for Summer 2025.

The Engineering Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for various project tasks related to Process Improvement. Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager, this role may be assigned a project such as process flow analysis, production parts picking/delivery/presentation, process mapping, time studies, and layouts. As a member of the Continuous Improvement team, you will be instrumental in making quantifiable improvements in the business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possible projects and initiatives this intern will work on could include:
  • Line balancing studies to identify process improvements
  • Designing small manufacturing jigs that are easily 3D printable
  • Support a Kaizen event team to complete a project
  • Establish a Value Stream Map for the production process

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering is required
  • Must have completed Sophomore year coursework
  • Experience with AutoCad, Inventor or SolidWorks is preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
