THIS IS A REMOTE OPPORTUNITY IN THE US.

Spiro is hiring a Director of Client Relations, Program to join our Sales team. The Director of Client Relations, Program works in partnership with the Client Relations Team, delivering best-in-class service. The Director of Client Relations, Program is focused on the development of Account Directors and Congress Managers; in addition to overseeing a portfolio of approximately $25-35M in sales. This is a working Director role. They will drive account retention and growth by instilling program management best practices into Account Directors. Efforts include maintaining strong client relationships, a strategic understanding of client's program, potential account growth opportunities and developing plans to penetrate these opportunities.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as working team member on key accounts
  • Mentor existing Account Directors and Congress Managers
  • Train and mentor Account Directors on strategic program management, including:

    • Client retention and portfolio growth strategy
    • Client and Spiro team communication and management strategy for team and relationship building
    • Effective documentation, project timelines, progress, and verbal discussions
    • Define client marketing goals, objectives, and budgets
    • Spiro Put-To Meeting process for design, estimating, detailing, production, onsite labor and billing
    • Spiro processes
    • Billing, profitability, and collections management
    • Submit accurate and reliable sales forecasts


  • Develop and maintain procurement relationships- MSA and contract terms and renewals
  • Develop and maintain client leadership relationships to identify growth opportunities and stay current with company current events
  • Develop, track, implement and maintain team performance measurement with Account Director
  • Develop, implement and maintain team SOPs and best practices with Account Director
  • Develop new ideas to drive revenue growth for accounts
  • Serve as an internal resource for client-related challenges for the ADs in your portfolio
  • Present Spiro thought leadership and products to clients in partnership with Account Directors
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with current clients; ask for and encourage feedback frequently to ensure their needs/expectations are consistently met/exceeded.
  • Participates in regular client reviews and client meetings; meets with clients to foster client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the general and specific trends of competitors and of the tradeshow industry.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
  • Provides best practices for AD Handbook in conjunction with AD, Onboarding Lead
  • Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary for the position under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Client Relations


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably business/marketing/communications emphasis or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years prior sales experience in agency or exhibit environment with an emphasis on new business development
  • 5+ years consultative account management experience preferably in custom product/marketing solutions, events, tradeshow or advertising industry
  • Experience managing $15-35M in revenue at GES/Spiro
  • Strategic, solution-based problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Dynamic, consultative and influential sales communications style
  • Results oriented individual with proven sales success
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing short-term and long-term vision and strategy to achieve targeted sales objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to develop outstanding relationships with clients and internal team members at all levels of the company.

How to measure success





    • By 30 days incumbent should understand team dynamics and perform basic job functions such as serving as Account Director on your Portfolio in addition to meeting each of your direct reports
    • By 60 days incumbent should be self-reliant on basic job functions and begin executing more complex tasks such as establishing rapport with each direct report and implementing best practices across all Account Directors you support
    • By 90 days, incumbent should have ownership over all major initiatives for their respective portfolio (SWOTs, business reviews, etc), developing mentorship plans for all direct reports and understanding client dynamics and key contacts on the entire portfolio you support
