The School of Music Job Description
The School of Music, within the College of Arts & Science, seeks a Facilities and Operations Coordinator to join our team. The School of Music stands as a nationally acclaimed institution, renowned for cultivating high-performing students who seamlessly transition into outstanding careers as professional musicians, community enrichers through their performances, and dedicated music educators shaping the next generation of artists. The Facilities and Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role as a key member of the School of Music's administrative team. This individual is responsible for the execution of music productions, overseeing scheduling, and managing building operations. The coordinator will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that facilities are open, accessible, and properly equipped for various music events and activities. The coordinator also maintains effective communication with university departments and community stakeholders, acting as a liaison to foster positive relationships. Additionally, they may assist in finding materials and supplies, coordinating maintenance tasks, and implementing safety protocols to create an optimal environment for music education and performance. This position is crucial to ensuring that rehearsals, concerts, and other events are executed seamlessly, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the School of Music. By streamlining operations, optimizing resource utilization, and providing administrative support, the Facilities and Operations Coordinator will play a pivotal role in creating a professional environment conducive to a nationally accredited School of Music. Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Anticipated Hiring Range
