At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. Our bottles and jars are primarily made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which has rapidly become the world's preferred packaging material. PET is lightweight, shatterproof, recloseable, resealable, reusable and infinitely recyclable*.

Position Overview: Accountable for all projects, repairs and/or improvement on the line(s) as well as any mold changes and preventative maintenance. Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment.

Starting wage between 27.35-38.00 based on skills, ability, experience.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Recommend, plan, repair, modify, make, install and adjust necessary elements following a problem or project, which may have an effect on productivity.
  • Assist in updating, developing and improving equipment PM programs.
  • Direct and advise production employees while working on repairs.
  • Assist and train production employees on machine conversions and PMs.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs or PMs.
  • Communicate to supervisors on the condition of all production equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts.
  • Assist Maintenance Electrician in investigating electrical-related problems.
  • Assist maintenance team with repairs, PMs, installation, commissioning and testing
  • Review all machine safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout) and general safety procedures (Fire/Evacuation, Accident Reporting and all aspects of the Safety Contract).

Skills Required:

  • Ability to organize work, effectively and economically, within the plant's schedule(s).
  • Knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Basic knowledge in electricity and controls.
  • Must have prior maintenance/mechanical experience with either a minimum of 2 years or a certificate in maintenance.
  • Forklift Certified and Elevated Lift Certified (Onsite training available)
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
