Job Description

Demonstrates capabilities and proficiency in all of the following categories:

Mechanics (Required)

Basic Industrial Electricity (Required)

Electronics/PLC troubleshooting/programming

Hydraulics

Pneumatics

Blueprint reading (Required)

Injection Molding maintenance and troubleshooting

Systems (Compressors, chillers, HVAC, Water Treatment)

Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting knowledge for Piovan, Walton Stout,Unadyne drying systems.

Knowledge of resin handling systems.

Knowledge of the handtech and belt conveying systems.

Knowledge of Husky Injection and Sidel Blow Mold machines preferred

Must be thoroughly familiar with and follow all safety practices, taking the lead in ensuring not only safety of equipment, but that all equipment in his/her area is being operated and maintained in a safe manner. Must be skilled in all phases of "basic" industrial maintenance (Mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electricity, safety practices) Will participate in further development and improvement of machine specific Preventative Maintenance practices. Will assist in training team members in troubleshooting and maintenance practices. Will be responsible for providing Plant Engineer with reliable information about equipment in his/her area. Will be responsible for communicating with Plant Engineer and production personnel regarding issues with equipment in his/her area. Will be responsible for completing all pertinent maintenance paperwork and documentation. Will be responsible for the timely execution of action plans in his/her area. Will participate in development of improved changeover methods in his/her area. Must have own hand tools/general maintenance tools. Will assign and perform all housekeeping practices. Will to assign and follow-up on daily maintenance tasks Must be able to help organize and maintain maintenance and stock room areas. Must be available for off shift and after hours calls ins.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e.,

Technical or Vocational education).

Quality: Must be GMP/HACCP/Food Security Trained.

Availability: Able to work 8 or 12 hours shifts, Days or Nights, Attendance to corresponding shift meetings required.
