As the Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a skilled team of engineers and designers, driving the design, procurement, and build of state-of-the-art Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring Systems, and other custom airfield products. - Coordinate internal resources to ensure project tasks are delivered according to plan
- Estimate material and product needs to achieve department/company goals, including implementing and maintaining a forecast measurement
- Support the preparation and organization of budgets
Functional Leadership
- Foster business relationships vital to the success of projects
- Develop, review, improve, and streamline processes for the team
- Develop, implement, and maintain best practices and tools for project execution
- Guide, direct, review, and approve software design, including software applications, code development, and support documentation
- Support Engineering activities including all electrical wiring and mechanical designs, custom software configurations for projects, product procurement, production scheduling, and system build schedule
- Ensure the team's ISO procedures and quality standards are maintained
- Oversee software activities including software development, validation, verification, and field installation
Project Management Support
- Contribute to the financial performance of the company by monitoring project task cost, schedules, and on-time delivery
- Review and write technical letters, reports, manuals, and test plans
- Support the approval of budgeted project expenditures, enforcement of process rules, and decision-making about the purchase of materials or services

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of seven(7) years of experience in software design / architecture with focus on electrical control systems
- Proficiency in computer networks, incl. structured cabling, fiber optics, and wireless
- Familiarity with computer programming and programming languages
- At leas tthree (3) years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record in managing a team of engineers and/or designers
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Pass required BCI and FBI Background Check
- Fluent English (oral and written communication skills); fluent Spanish a plus
- Ability to travel domestic or international
Plus but not a must...
- Experience with airports or with airport regulations (FAA / ICAO) is a plus
